The Cobblestone Center
The Cobblestone Center, North Lake Tahoe's most distinctive shopping village, is located in Tahoe City, California - literally on the northwest shore of Lake Tahoe, California.
The Cobblestone offers a wonderful variety of businesses for locals and visitors alike. After having lunch at the restaurant, you can stroll through the Center, browsing through a variety of unique retail shops while listening to chimes from the clock tower. The Cobblestone Center, a design award winning Bavarian-style shopping village, was built by Dan and Joan Hauserman beginning in 1966. They had purchased the then Lake Chalet Motel from Carl Bechdolt in 1963. Their dream of completing the mall came true when the final building, Cobblestone East, opened 37 years later in 2000.
